CYBER SANCTUARY
We help protect Domestic Abuse Survivors who are subject to cyber stalking and online abuse.
Cyber Sanctuary Services
We are pioneering this scheme in the South-East of England in partnership with Kent County Council.
Physical Violence and coercive control are not the only aspects of domestic abuse. Cyber stalking is becoming an increasing problem across the country.
Online platforms are increasingly being used to perpetuate domestic abuse. Creeping control is often a part of domestic abuse with perpetrators checking texts, accessing emails and verifying locations of social media posts. Once the target of abuse breaks free and decides to end the relationship the abuse can continue over a long period of time. We help Survivors to break online links and move on.
Cyber Specialists
Our Cyber Specialist has a consultation with Survivors and goes deeply into their online presence and social media accounts. We provide a wide range of advice regarding changing passwords, safe browsing, deactivating smart devices, wi-fi and Bluetooth security, safeguarding financial and banking info and much more. We want Service Users to understand, counter and be able to report DA-related cyber-crime.
