ABOUT US
Securing homes, supporting people and transforming lives since 2009.
Our Purpose
We provide security, adaptation and repair services that transform lives by helping people feel safe, supported and empowered in their homes and communities.
Our extensive partnerships with local authorities, police forces, housing associations, healthcare providers and charities enable us to assess and upgrade homes; reducing risk, restoring confidence and preventing repeat harm. We also work directly with the public, delivering trusted security and repair services where they’re needed most.
Every service is shaped around the people we support, prioritising safety, dignity and independence, and underpinned by the highest standards of quality, safeguarding and compliance.
For many years, we’ve been chosen to make homes and communities safer – because we never lose sight of what matters most: the people who live there.
Our Story
Secure Horizon began life in 2009 as 24-7 Locks Ltd – a Birmingham start-up backed by The Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme. We quickly gained recognition, winning the RBS Enterprise Award for the West Midlands in 2011. Since then, we’ve expanded delivery across the West Midlands, East Midlands, London, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, South East, South West, East Anglia and Merseyside. By building teams rooted in these regions, we’ve combined community-level knowledge with the capacity to mobilise rapidly – and grown into a truly nationwide service.
In 2025, we rebranded as Secure Horizon to reflect our expanded offering and ongoing commitment: protecting vulnerable residents, strengthening communities, and supporting our partners with responsive, evidence-based services.
What’s more, our roots with The Prince’s Trust continue today with the King’s Trust: our Managing Director, Paul Hentrich, regularly mentors young entrepreneurs through the Enterprise Programme – sharing practical guidance on building sustainable, community-minded businesses.

Putting People First
Every service is shaped around the individuals and families we serve, prioritising their safety, dignity and independence. We provide support where it’s needed most, to make a meaningful difference in peoples’ lives. We:
- Work with victims of crime, vulnerable individuals, patients, families and carers, adapting services to meet their specific needs.
- Deliver services that restore confidence and independence, not just physical security or adaptations.
- Engage sensitively with people in challenging circumstances, taking time to listen, explain and reassure.
- Ensure our work promotes long-term wellbeing, not just short-term fixes.
- Balance the needs of commissioners with the lived experience of end users, so outcomes are both effective and compassionate.
This people-first approach ensures services don’t just meet specifications, they transform both communities and the lives of the people within them.
Safeguarding Focus
Safeguarding is not an add-on – it underpins everything we do. Many of the people we support are victims of crime, individuals living with vulnerabilities, or patients returning home after hospital care. Our role is to ensure that they not only feel safe, but are protected and respected throughout the process. We:
- Carry out sensitive, trauma-aware visits in people’s homes, recognising the emotional impact of crime, ill health or vulnerability.
- Provide clear explanations and reassurance at every step, building trust with patients and carers.
- Balance safety with independence, enabling people to stay in their homes with dignity rather than feel controlled or restricted.
- Train all staff to spot and act on concerns, following escalation procedures with local safeguarding authorities where necessary.
By embedding safeguarding into every role, policy and decision, we give both commissioners and end users confidence that services are delivered responsibly, compassionately and with care.
Proven Expertise
Founded in 2009 with support from The Prince’s Trust, we’ve grown from a Birmingham start-up into a trusted national provider. Over the years, we’ve built a strong track record of delivering measurable results for individuals, families and communities, nationwide. Today, we:
- Have 15+ years’ frontline delivery experience, bringing practical knowledge of what works in diverse communities.
- Hold contracts with more than 20 local authorities and police forces, covering urban, rural and high-risk areas.
- Are built on award-winning enterprise roots, including the RBS West Midlands Enterprise Award.
- Offer nationwide reach with local expertise, with teams rooted in communities for rapid mobilisation and trusted delivery.
- Have delivered outcomes that reduce repeat victimisation, improve safety, and restore confidence for those most at risk.
Quality & Compliance
Safety and quality are non-negotiable in our work. Commissioners and partners can be assured that every intervention we deliver is underpinned by rigorous standards and independent accreditations. We:
- Are MLA Approved (Licence No: 003595), and Home Improvement Agency Approved, evidencing the highest professional industry standards.
- Align with Secured by Design and ISO principles, ensuring recognised best practice at every stage of delivery.
- Uphold strict policies on equality, diversity, health & safety and safeguarding, reviewed regularly for compliance.
- Work only with suppliers who follow responsible employment and environmental practices, protecting both people and planet.
Responsive & Reliable
When safety and wellbeing are at stake, speed and dependability are critical. We pride ourselves on mobilising quickly while maintaining the highest quality of delivery. We:
- Respond rapidly to urgent needs such as burglary repairs, domestic abuse cases and hospital discharge support.
- Maintain a nationwide network of skilled teams, enabling mobilisation at short notice across multiple regions.
- Adapt flexibly to the needs of both partners and end users, scaling services to match demand.
- Provide clear communication and updates, giving partners confidence in progress and timescales.
- Deliver services that are consistent and reliable, ensuring vulnerable people are never left without support.
That responsiveness means those who need our services get the right support at the right time, and our partners can trust us to deliver under pressure.
Creating Social Value
As a profit-for-purpose organisation, we take our corporate social responsibility very seriously, ensuring every contract benefits not only the end user, but also the wider community. We:
- Create local jobs and apprenticeships, supporting young people and those facing barriers into employment.
- Strengthen regional supply chains, sourcing from local suppliers for vehicles, signage, workwear and office supplies.
- Ensure responsible procurement, working with partners who uphold strong employment and environmental standards.
- Operate a low-emission fleet, recycle responsibly and minimise waste - including donating wood off-cuts to community centres.
- Mentor young entrepreneurs, with our Director continuing to support The King's Trust through guidance and training.
- Uphold the highest standards of governance, safeguarding and ethical practice, so commissioners and partners can have complete confidence in how we operate.
By embedding social value and CSR into every contract, we help partners meet wider responsibilities while strengthening communities.
Collaborating For Impact
We believe the best outcomes come from working together. That’s why we collaborate with a wide range of partners to deliver services that are not only effective but sustainable. We:
- Partner with councils, police forces, housing associations, health providers and charities nationwide.
- Build collaborative relationships that share expertise and resources for maximum impact.
- Align our services with the priorities of local communities, ensuring solutions fit real-world needs.
- Deliver contracts that are consistent, compliant and transparent, giving partners confidence at every stage.
- Focus on long-term community resilience, not just immediate interventions.
Through these collaborations, we deliver safer homes, stronger communities, and measurable improvements for the people who need support most.
