Modern Slavery Statement
We can confirm that as a company, we are against any kind of slavery in all its forms.
We recognise that as a company that it is our responsibility to have the appropriate measures and vigilance and processes in place. This includes the following:
Zero Tolerance
Secure Horizon has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery within the business and supply chains, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our dealings and relationships. We will implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in
our company or within any third-party businesses/agencies that we are associated with.
Recruitment/Employment
- Our recruitment and employment practices and processes fully align with UK Employment Law
- Our recruitment processes align with our Equality and Diversity Policy
- All Employees are paid the Living Wage as a minimum
- Secure Horizon is a signatory to the Living Wage Foundation
- All Employees have the right to be a member of a Trade Union
- Our Head of Recruitment has undergone NPCC Recruitment Training which
emphasises vigilance, vetting and ongoing monitoring of potential
recruits/employees - All employees are vetted and DBS Checked
- To the best of our knowledge, none of our employees have been convicted of any
offence involving slavery or human trafficking - To the best of our knowledge, none of our employees have been the subject of any investigation, inquiry or enforcement proceedings by any governmental,
administrative or regulatory body regarding any offence or alleged offence of or in
connection with slavery and human trafficking
Supply Chain
We take appropriate steps to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains and in connection with this we implement due diligence
procedures for choosing our Suppliers.
We require all Suppliers to warrant that neither they nor any of their employees have been convicted of any offence involving slavery or human trafficking or have, to the best of their knowledge, been the subject of any investigation, inquiry or enforcement proceedings by any governmental, administrative or regulatory body regarding any offence or alleged offence of or in connection with slavery and human trafficking.
Safeguarding and Vigilance
All our team have undergone safeguarding training, and all our employees are aware of their responsibilities.
The majority of our work takes place in peoples’ homes. Our staff carrying out these home visits will flag up any concerns that they encounter. Concerns can include unfit or dangerous living conditions. Concerns also include signs of abuse, neglect, servitude, people trafficking, exploitation or any other indication that there may be an infringement of law in terms of Modern Slavery.
Any concerns are reported to management and then escalated according to the agreed procedures relating to each of our contracts.
